How do we use artificial intelligence, technology, and digital tools to improve function & performance?

There’s been a lot of talk about telehealth recently in the healthcare space. All of these conversations, however have remained very superficial; focusing on direct, synchronous healthcare encounters. But what about technology, artificial intelligence, and software’s role? Can we leverage some of these tools to improve outcomes, satisfaction and engagement, not just in the telehealth world, but also in real-life, in the clinic?

My guest this week, Barry French, is the CEO of a company called TRAZER. They are a healthcare technology company that leverages AI, machine learning, and digital health to improve function and performance. They’re platform uses a camera & proprietary AI software to analyze the quality of movement and performance of a patient and then provides real-time, actionable data on areas of strength & weakness, providing a roadmap to recovery.

What we cover in this Episode:

  • Neuromechanics
  • How data can be overwhelming if not handled appropriately
  • Measuring quality & value of services
  • Every patient is different and must be addressed individually
  • Cognition and its role in performance
  • The brain-body connection
  • Benchmarking to the individual vs to standardized norms
  • The Importance of Relationships
  • Using technology as a force multiplier (don’t fear being replaced by technology)
