How technology can decrease costs in healthcare
Last episode, we covered how insurance companies can leverage technology to improve clinical outcomes by using data on their members. This week, we dive into using technology to decreased costs in healthcare by delivering real-time data and information to providers and clinical staff. By simply delivering real-time data to providers and patients, costs in healthcare potentially plummet.Â
This week, I sit down with Kyle Kiser from Arrive Health. Arrive Health works to make care decisions easier, simpler, and better for both providers & patients. By delivering real-time data to providers, they allow referring clinicians to select treatment options or interventions (such as medications) that may cost the patient significantly less. Sometimes, simply picking a different pharmacy leads to drastically different out-of-pocket costs to the patient. Arrive Health provides this information to the patient and provider. This helps increase engagement, adherence, and improves clinical outcomes; all while decreasing the total cost of healthcare deliver.
