Can you answer these questions that potential buyers have about your healthcare practice?
As I shared recently on LinkedIn, I have recently had a few conversations with private equity (PE) firms that were evaluating a potential acquisition or investment into various healthcare practices. I found it interesting that much of the questions they had about these practices were not easily answered by the practices themselves. Either they had biased views about the potential risks to their businesses or they simply didn’t easily have the data required to answer the question on hand. I figured I’d share the 4 common Questions that Potential Buyers Have About Your Healthcare Practice and give you my take on them.
In this episode, I break down the 4 common questions I have been asked recently by private equity (PE) firms when evaluating potential acquisition or investment targets. These questions relate to risk of the growth model, potential changes in healthcare of the next 12-24 months that can impact revenue, is the use of these funds for [enter investment] wise given the practice’s current state, and are there any underutilized areas that have the potential to deliver a quick ROI with a few operational improvements.
What we cover in this Episode:
- Understanding the numbers in the business development your healthcare practice
- Types of buyers of healthcare practices and the Questions that these Potential Buyers Have About Your Healthcare Practice
- The importance of exit planning your healthcare practice
- Taking a bottom-up approach to healthcare marketing and business
