How much does healthcare burnout and turnover cost healthcare organizations?

We’ve covered healthcare burnout on the podcast and the book, but often, those discussions revolve around the clinician-focused implications. But, staff turnover costs healthcare organizations thousands of dollars for each team member they need to replace. As we discuss in this episode, a single nurse leaving the organization can cost a hospital system up to $46-52,000! Often, many of these healthcare team members leaving the organization do so because of burnout. They simply want out of healthcare. But, what if there was a way to leverage technology and software to reduce the healthcare burnout and turnover rate?

Well, this week, I sit down with Courtney Dill a solutions executive with Health Stream working with their scheduling & capacity management program.
