Here’s an excerpt of what I shared with them about marketing healthcare services in 2020: 

 

“Remember the importance of human connection. Ultimately, healthcare is a human experience. It’s one person, skilled in healthcare treatment, serving and connecting with another person who may have an illness or dysfunction. Take this into account by using language and content that speaks to the human side of healthcare. Gone are the days when patients had little choice about where they received care. Today, with the advent of the internet, patients do research, compare, and reference-check potential providers before scheduling an appointment. Therefore, your marketing materials and strategy should be based on communicating in a human way. This may mean changing the focus of your messaging from “This is what we can do” to “We understand where you’re coming from, and this is how we can help.” Case studies, testimonials, and narrative become increasingly important in this environment. In fact, video testimonials garner a lot of attention, engagement, and impact.
